I have been playing a lot of Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2 lately, so it should come as no surprise that I had a dream relating to one of the characters from the games. Not to mention that every time I replay DA:O, I play a female human noble who romances a certain character and make my own character Queen....
From what I remember, Alistair and I were awkwardly wanting to be romantically involved. We both liked one another, but hadn't mentioned anything to each other. Sort of the typical high school relationship beginning, both of us dancing around the subject and not admitting anything. He was at my parents' house for some reason (odd, I know) along with several other men that I identified as either other Grey Wardens, or other members of his adventuring party. They were minor characters in the scheme of things, so I don't recall much about them.
My mother was also in the dream, and was reluctant to leave me with the men. She was insisting I take care of other things, such as getting a haircut. I'm guessing this stems from the fact that in the waking world I'm having house guests over for the next few days, and I'm feeling a little nervous about my duties as hostess.
Anyway, back to my dream. I mentioned to Alistair and the Grey Warden group that I had some things to do (and I could tell he was disappointed) but suggested they go to the beach while I was otherwise occupied. Though it seemed he didn't want to be away from me, he agreed and off they went!
I don't recall the specifics of the haircut, but I remember feeling pleased that I would look my best for this man that I was trying to impress. For some reason after the haircut I was on one of the top floors of a high rise building at the beach, looking down at the men goofing around in the water. I was specifically searching for Alistair.
After that, I woke up.
Not as geeky as some of the dreams I've had, but dreaming about a video game character definitely falls into the geek realm!
